Expansive vistas, spring flowers and rare cactus await us as we roam around the lake
then up the river thru the rolling foothills below San Miguel Mtn. Take I-805 South to the Bonita Rd exit. Turn left (east) on Bonita Rd. After about 4 miles, where Bonita Rd turns left over a bridge, go straight ahead on San Miguel Rd another 1 1/2 miles to the Sweetwater Regional Park and Cmpg. (Left on Summit Meadow Rd) Park in day use area. Meet at 8:45 a.m. Carpools leave Mission Valley & El Cajon 8 a.m.

Do the Pacific Crest Trail. Visit Foster Point and eat lunch at Big Laguna Lake. Meet at the Horse Heaven Cmpgd Road on S-1 north of milepost 25 at 9 a.m. Adventure pass or $5 per car required. Carpools leave Mission Valley 8 a.m., El Cajon 8:15.
