How would you like to contribute to the Committee's mission?
What has been your role in past political activities, both accomplishments and failures?
NOTE: Sierra Club rules require disclosure of affiliations and/or commitments with any political party, candidate or ballot campaigns independent of the Sierra Club. Your roles with these organizations may disqualify your participation on matters pertaining to those organizations or activities at which any action may be considered by the Board.
Are you currently involved in any political party, candidate or ballot campaign? If yes, please explain for disclosure purposes.
If you are active in any political party work, would your political party work prevent you from endorsing or supporting a candidate from:

b.) the same political party, but who may not have been endorsed by your political party?
What kind of volunteer work have you done for campaigns in the past?
Have you contributed either financially or in-kind to Political Campaigns?
NOTE: The committee is interested in your views as it relates to endorsements in general, not specific candidates or issues.
Have you personally, publicly endorsed candidates for public office in the past?
If yes, what were your major reasons for doing so?
If no, what are your views about endorsing candidates for public office?
What other Sierra Club Committees or activities have you been active with?
If appointed to the political committee board, what would be your actions and how would you handle a situation in which the Board and/or the Chapter ExCom has taken a position or made an endorsement which you had opposed?
NOTE: We currently meet the first Tuesdays of the month, 6:30 - 8:30pm. (We are usually "dark" in August and December, and election Novembers are for members to work Election Central if they choose). The Committee may also form subcommittees that may meet. Our guidelines states that every "member shall ba an active participant in the Board's work. Three consecutive un excused absences from meetings shall result in removal from the Board."
Can you attend meetings regularly on the first Tuesday of each month, from 6:30-8:30pm?
We know that many applicants already participate in regular monthly meetings for a variety of groups. Please list any regular monthly commitments that preclude participation on the PolComm Board or another subcommittee.
