Bob Jacobson has been an avid photographer since he was 12 years old. He was
the photographer for both his junior and senior high schools. He began
his professional photography career after retiring in 1990. Bob did stock
photography for several agencies until the late 1990s. It was then that
he began to do travel photography and his passion soon shifted to shooting
portraits of beautiful faces of indigenous people from various parts of the
world. His images have won 1st place at the Del Mar Fair in 2002 and 2003.

The Photography Section of the San Diego Chapter of the Sierra Club is a group
of hobbyist-photographers of all levels who meet to learn more about photography
and its applications in natural settings. Meetings generally feature
a speaker from the local photographic community.
We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Otto Center
at the San Diego Zoo.
We welcome new members! To join, pick up a membership application at

application, or send your name, address, telephone number, and check to the
address below. Annual membership is $20 and includes a subscription to this
publication, The VIEW Finder.
