MEMORIAL DAY BUS TRIP BACKPACK SOUTHWEST UTAH, RED MOUNTAIN WILDERNESS STUDY AREA (WSA)

MAY 26-30 Thursday Afternoon – Monday Night

This 20,000 acre WSA is part of the 9 million acres of Utah waiting for wilderness protection. It is mostly without trails and features the same cross-bedded Navajo sandstone found in Zion National Park. We will divide into exploratory groups, both base camp with day hikes, and groups moving camp each night. To sign up, send a $20 deposit to Jeannine Menger, 10720-19 Rickert Rd, San Diego, CA 92126. Please include your e-mail address or 3 self-addressed, stamped envelopes. Trip cost is $160 (due May 1). Includes bus
transportation from San Diego, a donation to the Utah Sierra Club (trip co-sponsor), and fees to the Southwest Utah Wilderness Alliance. Make checks payable to the Sierra Club.
