Fourth of July Bus Trip 2002

Yosemite Backpacks
July 2- 7, Tuesday - Sunday

Coordinator: Marty Stevens
We are returning to Yosemite National Park for the Fourth-of-July holiday weekend. Trips 1-4 are in the northern reaches of the park and terminate in the Virginia Lakes area. Trips 5-8 set out from Tioga Road and terminate on the floor of Yosemite Valley. (Because the large elevation loss from dropping into the valley results in an E rating, this elevation loss was not figured into the ratings for Trips 5-8; particularly, since the loss is on the last day with a lighter pack. An E rating might mislead people into thinking a trip is harder than it is.)

We will leave from San Diego at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and return late Sunday. Trip descriptions are below. As of June 14, trips 5 and 8 are full. All other trips have space available.

To sign up please send:
 1. payment in full of $150 if member or $160 if nonmember,
 2. your trip preferences,
 3. your evening phone number,
 4. your Sierra Club membership number, and
 5. two legal-size SASEs (self-addressed, stamped envelopes) or your email address
to Marty Stevens. Make checks payable to "Sierra Club". If giving your email address, please indicate the type of operating system you have (MacIntosh or Microsoft). For more information, call Marty Stevens.
