This is a partial listing of our outings. The complete list along with our trips and social events is available to all members. See Membership Form. All outings listed are free of charge and open to public participation unless otherwise noted.

REQUIRED FOR ALL RIDES: Helmet, water, spare tube, pump and patch kit.



December 5 - SATURDAY
16TH ANNUAL JINGLE BELL RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, basically flat, 10-12 mph average pace. Ho! Ho! Ho! Social and Express revelers all: the more riders, the merrier. Get into the holiday spirit by donating toys to the needy children of St. Vincent de Paul Village. Bring an unwrapped toy to the ride start. We'll deliver them personally. Then it's off to Coronado via the Gordy Shields Bridge & the Strand. Treat yourself to a view of the Hotel Del Coronado tree, then lunch at a pier-side cafe. Head home via the ferry ($3.50 with bicycle). Meet on the Harbor side of the SD County Admin Building (1600 Pacific Hwy between Cedar & Ash) at 9:00 am. Asst. Elf: Fern Siegel, 619-583-3261. December 6 - SUNDAY
NORTH COUNTY SUNDAY RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills. The 1st, 2nd & 5th Sunday of each month, meet at 9 am behind Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Del Mar Highlands Shopping Ctr at the corner of Del Mar Heights Rd & El Camino Real, 1/2 mi E of I-5. Route & leaders vary each week. Come for the social pace of this ride of about 25 mi. Leader: Carol Carr, .

December 6 - SUNDAY
SAN LUIS REY BIKE PATH-ELFIN FOREST EXPRESS RIDE
Difficulty: over 35 mi, moderate hills, 14-16 mph average pace. Meet at 8:30 am in the Encinitas train depot parking lot at 25 East D St @ Vulcan (Thos Guide 1147-C7) for this 50+ mi ride up the coast highway, then east on the San Luis Rey Bike Path to Vista, San Marcos and Escondido, then back through Elfin Forest. Joint ride with the San Diego Wheelmen. Rain cancels. Leader: Myles Pomeroy, 858-565-7262.

December 13 - SUNDAY
NORTH COUNTY SUNDAY RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills. December 13 - SUNDAY
OUTBACK EXPRESS
Difficulty: over 35 mi, steep grade(s), 14-16 mph average pace. Meet at 9 am near Starbucks (2512 Jamacha Rd) in the Rancho San Diego Town & Country shopping center (NW side of CA54/Jamacha Rd @ Willow Glen; Thos Bros 1272-A5) for a scenic 40+ mile loop thru San Diego's nearby unspoiled outback. Use a triple crank for the challenging climbs, and bring 2-3 water bottles and $ for a mid-ride snack stop at Lyons Valley Store. Rain cancels. Joint ride with the Wheelmen. December 20 - SUNDAY
MISSION BAY SUNDAY RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills. On the 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month, join us for the Sunday Ride starting from Mission Bay. Meet at 9 am in the parking lot immediately north of the Mission Bay Visitor Center. Route & leaders vary each week. Come for the social pace of this ride of about 25 mi. December 20 - SUNDAY
NORTH COUNTY SUNDAY COAST AND HILLS RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, moderate hills, 12-14 mph average pace. Depending upon the group, we'll do a 25-35 mi bike ride out and back along the coast, tackle the rolling hills of Rancho Santa Fe or head south to climb Mt Soledad. Be flexible; plan on minimal regroups and a snack stop en-route. Bring money and snacks. Meet at UCSD John Muir Dr /Almahurst and Torrey Pines Rd at 9:00 am. From Torrey Pines Rd, follow signs to the UCSD Extension. Sunday parking is free at UCSD. Add more miles by cycling to meeting point. Leader: Karen Westrich, 858-535-1092.

December 20 - SUNDAY
LAGUNA TRIANGLE
Difficulty: over 35 mi, steep grade(s), 12-14 mph average pace. Meet at 9:00 am in the parking lot behind Major's Coffee Shop in Pine Valley. We climb the 11 mi up Laguna Mtn and over to Lake Cuyamaca with return thru Guatay. Snack stop at Laguna store after the climb. Pack warm and cold weather clothing for this ride as you will need it for the mtns and descents. Hard core with lots of climbing. Rain/snow cancels. Joint ride with the SD Wheelmen. December 25 - FRIDAY
CHRISTMAS MORNING RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills, 12-14 mph average pace. Come out for a 30 mi ride up the coast to Swami's and back. Call leader for start info. RAIN CANCELS. Asst: Ron Manherz. Leader: Marty Hambright, 858-587-0272.

December 27 - SUNDAY
MISSION BAY SUNDAY RIDE
Difficulty: 21 to 35 mi, rolling hills. On the 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month, join us for the Sunday Ride starting from Mission Bay. December 27 - SUNDAY
FALLBROOK LILAC EXPRESS
Difficulty: over 35 mi, steep grade(s), 14-16 mph average pace. This 47 mi back-country ride takes us about and around Bonsall, Fallbrook, and over the Lilac bridge. Limited snack/water stops. Meet at 8:30 am curb-side in front of the Lawrence Welk Resort (10 mi N. of Escondido; I-15, off at Deer Springs, E. on Deer Springs then immediate left on Champagne Bl, 2.9 mi to the resort on L.W.
