Family Committee
We are reviving the San Diego Sierra Club Family Section and need YOU!
We have formed a Family Committee to promote family-oriented activities.
If there is enough interest, the committee will eventually re-activate the Family
Section. Anyone interested is invited to attend a monthly outdoor
activity, generally first Saturday mornings each month, but not always, so be
sure to email Jennifer, Section Chair, jennifercdouglas@yahoo.com.
Activities are appropriate for small children (Jennifer leads them and
has a 2- and 4- year old) and often for older children. Volunteers are
needed to lead activities, especially for families with older children.
You do not need to be a Chapter Outing Leader (COL) to lead activities.
COL's are needed to lead actual HIKES.
Recently activities have included visits to the San Elijo Lagoon in Cardiff,
Miramar Lake in Scripps Ranch, Water Conservation Garden at Cuyamaca College,
Torrey Pines State Park, and the Chula Vista Nature Center.
